Refundable Process
If all fare and ticket requirements are satisfied and there are still seats available,
you can modify your refundable ticket without having to pay a change charge. You
will be required to pay the difference between your original and new fare if the
price of the ticket has changed since you made your original purchase.
Non-Refundable
If you have a non-refundable ticket, you can adjust your flight for a cost that
varies from $0 to $400, depending on your travel itinerary, plus the difference in
price. Reminder: Basic Economy tickets can be canceled for a partial eCredit, but
they are often non-refundable and non-changeable.
Awards Tickets
Making modifications to your Award Ticket is simple. Change costs have been
removed for Award travel inside the United States (including Puerto Rico and the
US Virgin Islands) and for international travel departing from the US and Canada,
simplifying the travel process. Not only are change costs no longer applicable, but
you can now make adjustments at any point before departure.
Terms and Conditions
The leftover balance on your ticket will be applied to your new trip during the
ticket exchange procedure. Your ticket needs to be reissued and all travel needs
to be finished within a year of the original purchase date for travel between and/or
within Canada, the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The
ticket you have is good for one year for all other trips. If your travel was started,
you must get a new ticket and finish all of your travel within a year of the start
date. Your ticket must be reissued and travel must start within a year of the
original purchase date if travel has not yet begun.
I booked the seat and cancelled after some time due to some emergency. I thought I will not get that much refund for my ticket but there customer care guided me and gave me almost 90% of my refund.
