Upgrade Process
When checking in online, you have the option to upgrade to Premium Comfort
Class or Business Class if you would want to experience even more comfort.
Visit the official website of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
Go to My Trips.
Login with your flying blue id or email.
If you don’t have an id you can sign up to create a new one.
Or you can login with your booking details i.e. your booking code and last
name.
The follow the on-screen prompts to upgrade your seat.
Even after you have checked in, you can still make arrangements to upgrade to
Business Class or Premium Comfort Class at the airport self-service kiosk.
You may be offered an upgrade during or after check-in; however, keep in mind
that these offers are only valid for that particular flight and not for the full booking.

I booked the seat and cancelled after some time due to some emergency. I thought I will not get that much refund for my ticket but there customer care guided me and gave me almost 90% of my refund.
