will be traveling in comfort thanks to its 36" pitch and 18.5" width, which is a
whole 6" more legroom than our regular Deluxe Leather seats. BIG FRONT SEATs
are available here at spirit.com, subject to availability, and can be purchased
during or after a booking for a fee.
No seat with an inflated seat belt may be occupied by guests who need a seat belt
extender. If your seat has an inflatable seat belt, you can fasten seat baggage (like
a musical instrument) with a seat belt extender.
How to book a Big Front Seat ?
To receive a Spirit upgrade to the Big Front Seat, there are two options. During the
booking process or after, you have the option to buy a Big Front Seat assignment
outright. As I will cover in a later part, you can also use Spirit is bidding system to
place a bid on a Big Front Seat.
By Booking
You are set after you choose a seat and make the necessary payment. Spirit
Airlines states that choosing a Big Front Seat will cost between $12 and $250. In
reality, we usually observe a range of $50 to $150, with several well-known routes
charging $100 or more for each portion of the journey for the Big Front Seat.
By Bidding
A Big Front Seat or an exit-row seat on Spirit could only be obtained by purchase
until recently. Spirit has, however, launched a bidding system that would enable
you to obtain an upgrade for a marginally lower price.
Spirit has a website where you can bid on an exit row or big front seat upgrade
after you book your ticket. It may take place even closer to departure, but you will
not know if your bid was accepted until 48 hours after departure.
Remarkably, "Instant Level Up" is also included in the terms and conditions of the
Spirit bidding system. During the bidding process, Spirit may give you the chance
to purchase an upgraded seat right away. This is known as Instant Level Up. Spirit
is Instant Level Up option is limited to certain routes, according to their website.
